Interview with Beatrice Priestley (IPW / NZ)

Side note : We did this interview on twitter, if most wrestlers prefer this way other then email, that works too. ~ Danny

-BEATRICE PRIESTLEY-

1) What is your current wrestling promotion you are part of and your characters name? Face or Heel? or Neutral?

I am currently a part of Impact Pro Wrestling (IPW) based in New Zealand. My name is Beatrice Priestley and I' am a heel.

2) What got you into wrestling in the first place?

I was watching TV and flicking through the channels when the battery stopped on WWE. From the moment I first saw wrestling, I was just fascinated by it. So when I was 15 I started going to some local indy shows in my area and started training when I turned 16.

3) What do you think of current wrestling promotions, known and indy?

I've been watching quite a bit of British indy wrestling at the moment (I'll blame British Boot Camp for that :P) as I love the style. But I think in general there is a lot of uprising talent all around the world. (including WWE)

4) Do you find time to separate' the character that is "Beatrice Priestley
from your at home personal life?

My character Beatrice Priestley has a bit of a "hipster" thing going on and my character is very similar to me in someways. I mean, I don't wear hipster glasses in everyday life and I wear beanies on occasion.. But I think I'm more like her in the sense that I'm a little bit obsessed with Instagram and I can be quite feisty in general. So she's kinda a more intense version of myself in someways.

5) Do you have any memorable moments you like to mention in your profession? Name one.

My first one would be when I tagged with Aaron Henry & Jakob Cross against TK Cooper, Lil T & Evie. I felt very honored to be apart of this match as they all are great wrestlers in my opinion. I had so much fun working with these guys. My second one would have to be when Britenay and I tagged against Evie & Olivia Shaw. This is one of my favorites because the finish was Olivia moonsaults onto me (for the pin) and Evie double stomps Britenay, both at the same time! I also learnt a lot from watching this match back and the crowd was going crazy!

6) What do you like about wrestling the most?

Ever since I was a young girl I've always loved performing and sports. And wrestling is one of the few things that combines the two! It gives me a chance to trash talk the crowd and just have fun performing as a character that I created. Mixture of sport and drama. What's not there to love.

7) Any wrestlers you like to mention you work with? or trained with?

I would like to mention that I've worked with Evie, Olivia Shaw, Britenay, Carmen Rose, Aaron Henry, Jakob Cross and TK Cooper. I have also trained with all of these wrestlers. Also Travis Banks who is the head trainer at IPW.

8) Have you ever sustained any injuries in the ring?

I've been quite lucky really! I've never had any serious injuries in the ring. I think I sprained my knee once at a training. But apart from that I've been fine.

9) If you had to name your top influences in wrestling growing up who would they be?

I actually only started watching wrestling when I was 14, but I'd have to say Chris Jericho. He was the one who stood out the most for me and he's still one of my favorites to this day. I've grown to love other wrestlers all around the world now, but he was definitely my top guy when I was only watching WWE.

10) If you got the big push, what company or promotion would you like to be part of next?

The aim for me at the moment is to go back to my homeland, England. I really enjoy watching British wrestling and my goal at the moment is to move back to England in a few years and have the chance to experience it.

Thanks for taking the time out to do this interview with me! ~ Danny

You're welcome. =) <3

NJPW on AXS TV! [2015]

http://www.sportingnews.com/sport/story/2014-11-25/new-japan-pro-wrestling-american-television-axs-tv

Prepare for the likes of, Tiger Mask, Jushin Thunder Lyger, Rainmaker,  Bullet Club, and more!

I am super excited for this newly acquired acquisition to PRO WRESTLING in the scheme of things going on in WWE. I hope they sport as a suitable competition, OR EVEN get some guys crossed over or interested in joining NJPW to get out of the circus of the known wrestling juggernauts in America. (WWE/TNA) I really appreciate what these guys do. It has only really been a year that I have stumbled upon New Japan Pro Wrestling / Wrestle 1, and the art of the true wrestling legend comes from Japan 1st to me. 2nd being the Greco Roman and 3rd being the European/British, and American counterparts. It sure is a great time to be a wrestling fan to know their is more alternatives to WWE out there more than ever now. I personally still hope to get in touch with a wrestler from the motherland, but I am sure that day will come.

Also if you like to get in touch with me on joining the site, I made a post earlier on a group on facebook, send a email to, worldwidewrestlinginterviewer@gmail.com

[MESSAGE FROM ORIGINAL POST]

Who wants to be a part time contributor for my newish rasslin blogger site? I pay in special brownie points, and possible interviews with wrestlers from around the globe. It has been getting hard to get a hold of them starting off so fresh, but I do not want to give up hope, just yet. Any original content you like to have posted on this site, under your name, of course, feel free to PM me. Also, I got a twitter too for it too. I know it sounds like I am asking for alot....but always starting fresh with a site looking for wrestlers to cut promos online with, is always a challenge. As for reviews, keep it at a miniscule. I am not too heavy on reviews to be honest.

EXTRA

I think I want to also start setting it up where each day is something different that will be mentioned there, wrestling related. I plan to even get a roku to cover whatever else in the wrestling world I am missing out on. Stay tuned, and give me a private message if you express any interest at all. Open to suggestions, and even ideas on how to get a more professional site layout made if at all possible.
Any interview inquiries? Again, send requests to worldwidewrestlinginterviewer at gmail, dot com.

Back Online

I been offline a few weeks. Picking back up where I left off. Updates on what I been watching. As of right now, I am watching ECW Exposed. I just got New Japan Pro Wrestlings Destruction In Kobe, and there is much more to catch up with. I still have a upcoming interview with Crash Test Cody of the FSW promotion, and I am currently looking for potential Japanese wrestlers to interview. I may look more in Europe or United Kingdom, but I really would like to secure a japanese wrestler for the end of the year. Speaking of which, this ECW Exposed segment of WWE Network kills me. It has some really great moments that you all should be sure to check out. Here is a link for now, and I will have more to fill you all in with shortly, and hopefully a brand new interview with Crash Test Cody.
