Last Documentary I Watched

I have a few more documentaries to watch, but this one was the last I seen. Too bad, he is a cold blooded murder. Other, than that aside, I found this to be one of the best documentaries I have seen on any pro wrestler to date. Most of the docs I see now, like the Goldberg one, Best Of Sting, are matches mostly. Less inside info and more wrestling is great, but I like to know more about the person behind the persona.

Check this one out if you get the time to. Also I have more wrestling to catch up with, ROH, Chikara, PWG, and more. I really hope another NJPW video is posted soon. My new goal is to interview a NJPW by the end of this year. I would be honored to get a interview with Rainmaker, or Shinsuke Nakamura.

         CHRIS BENOIT - HARD KNOCKS

PART 1

PART 2

Interview with Psycho (SNPW/New Breed Pro / USA)

1) What is your current wrestling promotion you are part of and your characters name? Face or Heel? or Neutral?
Currently I'm wrestling in Illinois and Indiana for SNPW Strictly Insane Pro Wrestling and for New Breed Pro in Humboldt, TN
I have been known as Psycho since I first started and have been both face and heel everywhere I have been but for the majority of the time tweener/neutral would be the best description.

2) What got you into wrestling in the first place?
I grew up watching Memphis wrestling with my grandfather and was always a huge fan but once I got out on my own I didn't get much chance to watch wrestling. I was working in a factory and a coworker said he "knew a guy" that wrestled and had told him if he ever found a partner he would train them. That led to me spending quite a bit of money and learning pretty much nothing. Later on another friend "knew a guy" and I wasn't gonna go for it but he talked me into going to meet EZ Rider. Needless to say after around 9 months of training I was finally able to have my first match in August of 98 in Batesville,AR and I've never looked back.

3) What do you think of current wrestling promotions, known and indy?
In my opinion which pretty much doesn't matter except to me I believe WWE needs to learn to pay a lot more attention to whoever is running NXT because it is leaps and bounds above the main roster minus all the star power, they are actually making future stars. As far as Indy goes the boys need to tighten up and police who they let into our business because for every 10 stand out great wrestlers there are probably a 100 that don't know even basic psychology or how to actually have a match instead of just the spots they thought were really cool on Raw or the dvd they saw the week before. Learn your craft or just buy a ticket.

4) Do you find time to seperate the character that is "Psycho" from your at home personal life?
Psycho started out as a masked crazy man that I have evolved and tweeked over the years and took a simple generic name and gimmick and made it my own individual persona. I have always been told the best gimmicks are the ones that you put the most of the real you into and at one time at home I was me and at shows I was psycho. Over the years the more me I put into Psycho the less of a difference there was. I always attribute it as the only difference between me and Psycho is I don't really play with my doll...that much.

5) Do you have any memorable moments you like to mention in your profession? Name one.
One of my greatest moments in the wrestling business was having my first match against Moondog Spot. I was scared, nervous and excited all in one. Needless to say I went out there and it was horrible and Spot came to the back and chewed me out for like 45 minutes. The next night it was us again and I was even more freaked out than the night before. I went out there and when the bell rang I instantly relaxed and just let the match flow. It was far from a 5 star match but compared to the night before it was like a 10 star match. So afterwards I was happy and Spot was definitely happy. I learned so much from that man and I miss him everyday RIP Spot.

6) What is the state of wrestling to you currently?
Wrestling is in a downward spiral that is at the core the fault of every guy that lets someone that doesn't have the heart, desire and drive to even make it on the local level much less a higher one. It's up to the boys to help the guy that needs it. If someone asks you to watch their match just take the time to do it and offer any advice you can. As far as the higher levels of wrestling they need to just pay more attention to what gets over with the people not with the soap opera writers they hired.

7) Any wrestlers you like to mention you work with? or trained with?

I was trained by EZ Rider and trained with his son Zane Richards who has ways been good to work with or against.

I enjoy working with the member of LSD Idol Bane, Cody Only, Deadly Dale and Uncle Filthy. I always enjoy tagging with my longest partner Pappy but don't tell him that because his head is already swoll enough. I also can't leave out Anton Leveigh, Ricky Andrews, Jason Rose aka Void, Shawn Reed,Wraith, Mad Man Pondo and Syn & Stunner aka SNS and my "dad" Motley Cruz.

8) Ever sustained any injuries in the ring?
Lol honestly after this many years in the business I have injured pretty much everything you can injure and some of them a few times.

9) If you had to name your top influences in wrestling growing up who would they be?
Cactus Jack hands down, the things Mick Foley have accomplished are above and beyond amazing. I have nothing but respect for him

10) If you got the big push, what company or promotion would you like to be part of next?
Honestly I couldn't be happier than being able to work overseas especially Japan...Japan would be THE dream come true.

Thanks for taking the time out to do this with me! ~ Danny

Also, there is this rumor going around. I hope it is true, but TNA could be blowing smoke up our asses just like the time Dixie Carter said she get a almost expired contract Randy Orton on board with TNA.

Imagine how things would change if this did happen? Funny thing is, I was watching a episode of the WCW/WWE Monday Night Wars featuring Stone Cold Steve Austin, and I was thinking now after watching that, and seeing this, that this COULD be almost the same thing? We could only hope that this man, makes the RIGHT decision.
